Signing The Book

Last weekend, my mom had a four day party at her house to celebrate the publishing of "Ditchrider Kids", a family history book that she has been working on for the last several years.
At one point during the weekend, there were more than 80 people at her house.
It was a whole lot of fun. On Sunday afternoon, mom and her siblings (that were there) sat down and signed 150 copies of the book.

Salt Lake Temple in Spring

I had the opportunity to wander around Temple Square on Sunday.
Because it was during the weekly choir broadcast, there were very few people on the grounds.
It was a great opportunity to get in some shots of the Salt Lake Temple without people in them (for the most part).

Light Painting

My cousin Justin is in town for the weekend and we needed a good excuse to get in a shoot.  Trouble is, most every bit of the daytime hours are tied up with family stuff.  Seemed like a good idea to go do some light painting.  I called up my friend Doug, and he joined us for a quick trip to the Temple of the Birds.  Not a bad way to use $6 worth of steel wool!

This is an image I took a while back while camping with my brother and my nephew.

Not Just Flowers

It turns out that there weren't just flowers to shoot at the Tulip Festival.
There were lots of opportunities to shoot pattern and detail shots.  Here are a few of my favorites.

Flowers - Sneek Peak

I spent a couple of hours with some good friends tonight at the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point.
The Tulip Festival was a bit disappointing, but we still had a great time.  Here's a couple of images, there are more coming.

Capturing The Light

One of my favorites from our light painting excursion.  Rusty Sessions gets credit for the idea.
