Uintas - Part 2

Second round of images from a recent trip to the Uintas.

Memory Grove

A couple of weeks ago, a couple of friends and I headed into Salt Lake to do a little light painting.  Normally, we are painting in some pretty dark areas.  This time, being in the city, there was a lot of light to deal with.  It was a fun challenge to try and balance things out.

Sky Harbor Airport

Earlier this week, I had a bit of time on my hands while waiting for a flight in Phoenix.

I had my gear, so I shot some time lapse.

Uintas

A couple of weeks ago, I took the opportunity to spend the day shooting with a couple of good friends.  It had been a while since we had gotten together and it was long past due.  We got up early and headed up into the Uintas and wandered along the Mirror Lake Highway.  You couldn't have asked for a better day.  I've still got a pile of images to work through, but I figured it was about time that I posted a few.  So, here's the first round.

Ticket To Ride

Most Sunday afternoons, we end up playing a family game.  Ticket To Ride is one of our favorites.
My daughter suggested that I should shoot a time lapse of today's game.

The Organ - Revisited

I paid a visit to some images from last summer.  My mom's neighbor was kind enough to provide a behind the scenes tour of the organ in the Tabernacle on Temple Square.  As a thank you, I promised some prints.  Well, my mom reminded me that I hadn't made any prints yet so I dug them back up today.  Of course, I had to rework them a bit and make some tweaks.  As I was working on these, it occurred to me that they were just begging to be converted to black and white.  I printed these on Canon Platinum Pro paper, and I must say that they look fantastic!

Painting at the Point

Last weekend, some buddies and I headed out for a little light painting.  Our original intent was to paint at Locomotive Springs, however, the wind and dry conditions made us think otherwise.  We ended up at one of our favorite spots, Rozel Point.  As always, it was a good time and I came home with some good images.
