While in Manila, UT this weekend, I took advantage of the lack of city lights to shoot some star trails. The first image was taken in town, at my Uncle's place. It is a composite of 268 30-Second images. The second image is a composite of 14 images. These were taken during sunrise at the Dowd Mountain Overlook, overlooking Flaming Gorge with the lights of Manila, UT in the distance on the left. The images were stacked in CS5, using the Stack action from Star Circle Academy.
I then brought the composite images into Lightroom for some minor adjustments.

The images were captured using the Canon 5D Mk II and the Canon 16-35mm f/2.8L lens.
