First Images with the EOS M

I've had the opportunity to do a bit of shooting yesterday out on Antelope Island with the new Canon EOS M3 camera and EF-M lenses.  Overall, I really enjoyed my shooting experience.  The camera is small, compact, and very light.  I found the AF to be very responsive and the metering system handle some tough challenges very well.  I'm looking forward to spending more time with this camera and I'd be willing to bet that it will become a new travel companion.

Just in case you wondered which lenses were used for which images, I've added the info to each image.
And, if you click on the images, you can see a bigger version of them.

The articulating screen came in really handy for this shot.

I used the EF - EF M adaptor to grab this shot.

This is a 7 shot panorama, combined in Lightroom.  This is more than a 180º view.
See the bits of road on each side?  That is the same road which runs fairly straight behind where I was standing.

Sunflowers

Over the years, we've managed to get a pretty good of collection of sunflowers in our yard each year.  The other morning, I was in the back yard, taking first day of school pictures of the kids.  I had a couple of minutes to kill between kids so I grabbed a few shots of a couple of the sunflowers.  These were shot with the 5DS and the 24-70 f/4.0L lens.  I haven't shot with that lens much, but I've gotta say that this was a pretty sweet combination.

San Diego Zoo, Round 1

A couple of weeks ago, my daughter an I had the opportunity to spend the day at the San Diego Zoo.  We had a fantastic day wandering the zoo and came home with a good collection of images.  I've split them into two groups, I'll post the second half later.

Balloons, Balloons, and More Ballons

This past weekend was the Sandy, Utah Balloon Festival.  It's always a good time to shoot hot air balloons.  I came away with a good collection of images which I'll share on this and one other post.
