The Wilcox Family

I recently had the opportunity to do a portrait session for Sidewinder Media with the Wilcox family.  Here's a few of my favorites.

Some of my Favorite People

A couple of weeks ago, I decided it was time to update the pictures of the kids.

April showers bring. . . .

The other morning, I decided to blow the dust off of my macro lens and head out to see what I could see in the flower beds.  Well, the light was pretty fantastic, but it was pretty breezy.  I wanted to get decent depth, but had to deal with the breeze, so I grabbed my flash, my Wrapix and Radiopoppers for some added light.  I really liked the results.  I've also included a couple of shots with the flash in the frame, just for fun.

Charlee, and Trevor

Here's my last round of images from the recent model shoot.  This is Charlee and Trevor.  These guys are pretty dang talented.  It was a lot of fun to shoot them.

Brittany

Here's the second round of images from the model shoot that I recently participated in.  Brittany was a trooper, she had to join us a little later in the day and it had gotten pretty cold.  She was also brave enough to hang around for some light painting.

Todd

Had the opportunity to photograph my nephew this afternoon.  Here's one of my favorites.
I shot this using a combination of natural light and fill flash using my speedlight and a Wrapix light modifier.

Prom

I had the opportunity to shoot some prom pictures for a pretty good group of kids this past weekend.  We were up against rapidly fading light (well, actually, it was pretty dark by the time we got started) and rain.  In an effort to be prepared, I stopped and picked up a bunch of umbrellas on the way to the shoot, just in case.  Luckily, we didn't need them as the rain finally let up just as we got to the location.  Shooting in the dark wasn't too big of a problem, we had four speedlights along to provide the light.  We used Wrapix light modifiers to control the light. The biggest challenge was getting focus.  Tough to do in the dark.  This was solved by using a cell phone with the backlight on, held where we needed the focus.  Once focus was grabbed, my lovely assistant jumped out of the way and I fired the shot.  All in all, it was a good shoot and I'm pleased with the results.  Thanks to Rusty and Doug for the assist on this one!

Here's a couple of the finished images as well as a couple of "behind the scenes" shots.
