Here's the second series of macro images from the 119 Locomotive out at Golden Spike. The big difference here is that I added a Canon 12mm Extension Tube to the lens, allowing me to get in even closer.

UP No. 844

Last week, the Union Pacific Steam Engine No 844 made a stop in Ogden, Utah.  I took the opportunity to spend a little time wandering around the engine with my camera.
There were a ton of people that had the same idea, so I ended up focusing on the details.  I think it worked out pretty well.

Images were created using the Canon 1D Mk IV and the Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L lens.
A 12mm extension tube and Canon 580 EX II with and off-camera cable were also used for a few of the images.

Dragonflies

Got to spend a few minutes chasing dragonflies the other night in mom's flowers.

Images were created with the Canon 7D and the Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro and 24-105mm f/4.0L IS lenses.  Also used the 12mm extension tube on a few of the shots.
