Lego Art

There is an artist by the name of Nathan Sawaya who uses Lego bricks as his medium.  He creates some pretty amazing pieces.  Right now, the Kimball Art Center in Park City, UT has some of his work on display.  The other day, my son and I headed up there to have a look.

This last image is a self portrait of the artist.

Storm Clouds

I'm getting itchy to get out and shoot some time lapse.  There are a few projects I've got in mind for this summer and it's time to get on with them.  In the mean time, I figured I would take advantage of some good storm clouds rolling through the area the other day and shoot some material from my window at work.  For this, I used LapseIt Pro on my smartphone to capture the images.  After capturing the images, I imported them in to Lightroom for some tweaking before rendering the video.

Here's a shot of my phone at work.

Spring?

Spring has to be coming, right?  A couple of weeks ago, we had a few days of really nice weather, high 60's and low 70's.  It was pretty fantastic.  It didn't last.  We've had a couple of weeks of cold, snowy weather.  We are just starting to get back to where we should be, but I'm still ready for spring to get here.  The bit of warm weather has some flowers starting to show up, so, I guess spring can't be too far away, right?

St. Patrick's Day Parade

On Saturday, we loaded up the kids and headed to Salt Lake for the annual St' Patrick's Day Parade.  It was a beautiful morning, there were tons of people, and we had a great time.

It's been a bit since I've done any street photography.  I had forgotten how much fun it can be.  So much fun that I took a ton of images.  I did manage to narrow it down to my favorite 45 or so.
