Beams, Bricks, Windows, and Doors

While walking the streets in La Paz, Mexico, we took a quick stroll through a courtyard in front of a museum.  It was a beautiful old building with white stucco walls, massive beams, intricate wood carving, and red bricks.  We were there in the middle of the day, so the lighting was pretty harsh.  I did manage to get a few decent shots that were in the shaded areas of the courtyard.  After fiddling around with these, I decided I preferred them in black and white.  What do you think?

Images were created with the Canon 7D and the Canon 24-105mm f/4.0L IS lens.
