Temple of the Birds

Another set of shots form our light painting escapades the other night.  These are all in and around Temple of the Birds, near the Great Salt Lake.  I think that having the square frames to contrast with the circles of light really adds to the dynamics of the images.  The last image, though it looks like it was shot during the day, was actually shot at 1am.  The 410 second exposure really allowed the ambient light to accumulate and brighten up the image.  These were shot with my good friends Rusty Sessions and Doug Sims.

  1. Where does it get the name "Temple of the Birds"? I know the place and have shot it myself, but I've never known a name for it. :)

  2. You know, I'm not sure where the name came from. I'll have to do some digging to see what I can find out.
