Shockwave is a pretty cool and unique machine. It is powered by 3 jet engines and tops out at over 300 miles per hour. I've had the opportunity enjoy the Shockwave performance multiple times at air shows across the country. Unfortunately, this will be the last time. Just a week after this, during a performance at an airshow in Michigan, the driver of Shockwave, Chris Darnell, lost his life when the truck was destroyed in an explosion due to a mechanical failure.
