On Saturday, I took a couple of the kids to the model railroad show that was held at the Union Station in Ogden, UT. We spent several hours wandering the show, checking out the detailed layouts. It was a lot of fun and there were tons of photo ops. The big challenge was the lighting. It was not fantastic and, the place was incredibly crowded so a tripod was out of the question. That being said, I cranked up the ISO a bit, and shot wide open. Gotta love Canon Pro gear! Though the depth of field is thinner than I would have liked, I am pleased with the shots that I brought home.
Images were created using the Canon 1D Mk IV, the Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS and the Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro.
Jeff, this is a fantastic series. I recognize at least one of these settings. It was on display at Fullerton during their train show. Next time the show is in town will try again now that I have a camera that will do the job. Dale
