Typically when I am going to shoot fireworks, I find a good location with a decent foreground, set up my tripod, connect my cable release and I'm all set. Well, the other night, I was working an event and knew there were going to be fireworks, but didn't know what time they'd be so I was caught unprepared. No worries, I still shot, just had to improvise a bit.
