Vegas Car Show - Emblems and Logos

While in Vegas with my photo club, we spent a couple of hours one morning at Coffee and Cars, a local, weekly car show.  The show included a huge variety of cars, from shiny new Ferrari's, to classic muscle cars.  There were a lot of really amazing vehicles.  Unfortunately, we only had about 2 hours to spend shooting the cars.  I could have spent all day.  A typical challenge at car shows is the close proximity of the vehicles to each other.  Add to that the crowds of people, and it can be difficult to get shots of the cars.  Lucky for me, I am drawn in bey the details and patterns that are found in an abundance on these old cars.  I came away with a pretty decent collection of images, enough that it's worth splitting them up into a couple of blog posts.

Images were created using the Canon 5D Mk II, Canon 1D Mk IV, Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro, and Canon 8-15mm f/4.0L Fisheye.

  1. Cool beans! Well, aside from the gorgeous emblems, the focus on them tells a nice story. You can see the tiny details, the small scratches for some, while the others look as if they are brand new. It kind of makes one wonder the history behind that particular vehicle...
