Transit of Venus

Every hundred years or so, Venus passes in front of the sun, twice, about eight years apart.  Well, it happened in November of 2006, and, tonight.  It will be 105 years before it happens again.  I have been looking forward to seeing this and watched with a bit of annoyance as a storm system moved into the valley.  It really looked like my chances of seeing this was not going to happen.  Then, with not much time to spare before sunset, the clouds started to break up.  I managed to get in some pretty cool shots with the clouds mixing things up a bit.

  2. Hi Jeff,
I wasn't able to view the transit of Venus, so I'm glad to be able to view photos that others shared.
Thank you so much for showing your great shots.

  3. Thanks, Dick! I'm glad that you enjoyed my work. The weather almost didn't cooperate so I'm glad to have gotten what I got.
