Some Stars With The Rebel t5

Last night, I headed out to try and get some star shots.  It was a new moon, and the forecast was for clear skies, so it seemed like a good plan.  While I packed some of my high end cameras with me, I also brought the Canon Rebel t5 along to give it a whirl.  For most of the shots, I used the 24-105mm f/4.0L IS lens.  All of these shots were at least 60 seconds, with the longest being 12 minutes.  I shot all of them using the in-camera long exposure and high ISO noise reductions.  I also shot using the AWB setting.  Turns out this was the one struggle I saw.  The white balance was all over the place.  So, next time, I will just set my white balance ahead of time.  That being said, I'm really impressed with the results I was able to achieve with this entry-level camera.  Can't wait to shoot with it again.

For this last shot (before the clouds completely closed in), I switched to the 10-22mm lens.
